you do it. However if you think this was bad, just wait until you tackle the suspension link bushings! IMO level of difficulty, from easiest to most difficult, goes:
- Differential Bushings
- Subframe Bushings
- Suspension Link Bushings
Congrats on the swap! PS You shouldn't need fire to remove the subframe bushings. If the core wouldn't come out then you just didn't open up the top enough for it to fit through. Some quick cleanup work with the sawzall to open it up and the core pops right out.
